| Personal Care Unit North Carolina ELCA Disaster Response |
||
|
The
North Carolina Women of the ELCA contributed over $12,000 to the
purchase of a Personal Care Unit for volunteers to use following
disasters. The unit is equipped with three showers and dressing rooms
plus a washer and dryer. Many thanks to Lutheran Brotherhood who helped
make this project a reality by contributing over $10,000. The Personal
Care Unit was on display at the 17th Annual SWO Gathering in
June, 2004. Here is an update from George Strunk, Coordinator for
Lutheran Disaster Response of the Carolinas, on the PCU. |
